Schedule Limitations in Revit

The standard BOM tools in Revit were not able to combine data from different families, such as pipes or ducts, and take into account their unique technical characteristics.

Difficulties in calculating the amount of products in the package

Revit did not take into account actual sales units, such as tube lengths available in packages. Designers had to manually recalculate quantities, which was time-consuming and led to errors in orders.

Lack of branding and control over the publication of content

Uponor did not want to use external BIM marketplaces, which limited the ability to promote the brand, market tools and manage the data available to users.

Diversified availability of products

Depending on the country, Uponor's offer differed in the availability of models and product variants, which made it difficult to create a single, standardized set of BIM objects for all markets.

We have linked product data from PIM to the client's BIM libraries. This allowed content to be easily adapted to different markets — such as languages and product types. Thanks to this, libraries have become more accessible and practical for designers from different countries.

We have extended the Revit plugin with support for Uponor systems, which has improved the design of the installation. Fittings are now automatically selected, which reduces errors and speeds up the designer's work.

The Revit BIMStreamer plug-in allows you to create extended BOMs that take into account pipe and channel types. Export to PDF or Excel contains the exact number of packages, ready to order.

The BIM platform and Revit plugin have been designed with a focus on Uponor brand visibility. All data (e.g. users, downloads) are fully owned by the customer. This strengthened the position of his site and made the company independent of external platforms.
